How can I hide my store from public view before it's ready?

I don't want my store to be seen until I'm done constructing it.

This is easily done. You can make it so that only you, or anyone you share your password with, can see your store.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. In your shopify admin dashboard, under "Sales Channels" click on "Online Store"
  2. Click on "Preferences"
  3. Toggle on "Password protection" to enable this feature
  4. Enter the password of your choice in the "Password" field

You can also set a custom message for your visitors to see. You can let them know that your store will soon be live!

Disable this once you're ready to show the world your glorious store.
